Daloki – Part 4: The Nine Hells

Daloki married Elexin, and everything went to hell.

(It was much, much later that she learned the truth: that Asmodelius had given Elexin a love potion intended to make Lex fall in love with Asmo’s own wife – for what reason she never learned – but it was Daloki that Lex saw first, so Asmo’s plan went awry.)

From then on, Dal was sucked into a growing nightmare. Three times Elexin fed her some of his blood, something he never should have done. Now she was his Ghoul, forced to feed regularly on the blood of vampires, and subject to his control. He didn’t actually use that control on her – yet.

Daloki – Part 2: The Slayers

There was nothing about the Blue Moon to warn Daloki of its dangers. To her amazement, food and drink were free (though the food came nowhere near the standards of the Inn of Worlds’ menu), and the patrons of the tavern were interesting, almost all of races she’d never heard of before. Yes, her smart mouth got her in trouble, but she made friends, particularly with Raelin Wolvarian Aero, a Nyxarian, and a half-elf shape-shifting magician who went by Kayion Ravagarde. Devek Slayter, a Felis – once he got over being pissed off at her because of a wisecrack or two – became a friend, as did Zazel the Ravyn-King and a few others.

Daloki – Part 1: Worlds’ Crossing

Daloki Mauvais was 37 when she came to Hellifyno, a human with extraordinary mental powers. She came by way of the Haven spaceport, an escaping stowaway, and dove through a portal, pointed out to her by a convenient, kindly stranger, that led her to Worlds’ Crossing. With the few coins she’d managed to steal along the way, she was able to get a penny-a-night room at the Inn of Worlds.
