Hetty’s Crocheted Scarf is Done!

This is the Flowering Herb Scarf pattern I found on Ravelry, and I knew right away it was a perfect gift for my dear friend Hetty. I chose the yarn, and was glad Hetty liked both it and the pattern. I finished blocking it today so it’s ready for her!

An unlikely jellyfish

I’m really interested in making crocheted coral reef wall art for myself, and in browsing patterns, I came upon this one. I very much doubt there’s any jellyfish colored like this *wink*, but it matches my both my kitchen and the family room. Working on a much more muted one for the kitchen now.

Cthulhu Crochet!

Over at Rolepages my main character’s story arc has a lot to do with H.P. Lovecraft’s Cthulhu Mythos. While Cthulhu himself hasn’t appeared, to the public he – or rather it – IS the best-known character. So when I recently took up crocheting again, I was captivated to find patterns for Cthulhu amigurumi. This was unlike anything I’d ever done before, but I just had to make it.

I’ve just finished, and here he is, destined for my roleplaying friend known as Girlycard, aka Cecilia di Sighisoara Slayter:
